Questions about permanent lighting
What does permanent lighting look like during the day?
It reads as trim. The fixtures sit inside a low profile track that mounts under the roof edge or along the fascia, color matched to the building where it matters. From the ground the track is a line, not a row of bulbs, and there is nothing to take down in January.
How long does a permanent system last?
The LED fixtures used in commercial permanent systems are typically rated in the tens of thousands of hours, which for the way most properties run them is many years of service. The track and the mounting are specified to outlast several fixture generations.
Will it damage the roof or the facade?
The system is designed to mount without penetrating the roof envelope. Track is fixed to the fascia or the drip edge depending on the construction, and on masonry we use non-penetrating methods where possible. Roof warranty questions are worth raising at consultation so the design accounts for them.
Who controls it once it is installed?
You do. Systems are controlled from an app or a wall panel, with zones you can run independently and schedules you can set months ahead. We configure the zones and the first set of schedules, then train your team at handover.
Can we still get seasonal work from you as well?
Yes, and many properties do both. Permanent lighting handles the roofline year round while seasonal work covers the trees, the entrance and the display tree. The two are designed together so they read as one scheme rather than two vendors.
Does it replace our seasonal Christmas installation?
For the roofline, usually yes. What it does not replace is tree wrapping, wreaths, garland and display trees, since those are not roofline elements. Most permanent lighting clients keep a smaller seasonal scope for exactly those pieces.
How is a permanent system priced?
As a capital project, quoted per property after the consultation. The number follows the linear footage of track, the fixture count, the number of zones and the complexity of the install. We do not publish a per-foot figure because access and roof construction change it substantially.
